VENUE TECHNICIAN BOOTCAMP
Dewi works in partnership with the West Midlands Combined Authority, collaborating with a range of leading regional venues as part of a new West Midlands–wide training initiative designed to increase access to backstage careers in the arts. Within this programme, he delivers teaching in Historical Context and Theatre History, supporting the development of emerging talent and broadening pathways into the industry.
Dewi has been working with Bootcampers on the working their Historical Context and Theatre History.

SUMMER WORKSHOPS 2021
Week of workshops with 13-16 year olds on an adaptation of a classical text.
During this summer school, work shoppers chose to work on an adaptation of Sheridan's 'The School for Scandal'.

MASTERCLASS WORKSHOP

OCTOBER 2017/2018/2019
Students performed a showing of scenes from 18th century plays, examining the customs of the period, the relationships between classes and the world these plays were written for. Through a week of intensive rehearsals, students learn the technical demands of performing this work and the skills needed to attempt these plays.

SOLIHULL & STRATFORD-UPON-AVON COLLEGE
Dewi has been engaged as a freelance, part-time lecturer at the College since 2019. During this time, he has directed students in a range of productions and provided academic and practical guidance to support their completion of the UAL Level 3 Diploma in Performing and Production Arts (Acting pathway).
The College’s Performing and Production Arts programmes are designed to equip students with robust vocational training in acting, voice, movement, dance, and technical theatre. Through a structured programme of workshops, audition preparation, and public performances, students develop both the practical skills and professional discipline required for progression into higher education and the industry.

FEBRUARY 2020 Stratford Upon Avon College The Gordan Vallins Theatre Year 2 Acting and Year 1 & 2 Technical Theatre students presented a deconstruction of one of Shakespeare's lesser known plays. Students delivered the compelling tale through movement, music, dance, object transformation and storytelling.

JUNE 2021 Stratford Upon Avon College The Gordan Vallins Theatre Year 1 Performing Arts Acting students presented a performance of Moliere's famous tale of a family divided.

JANUARY 2023 The Bear Pit Theatre Stratford Upon Avon Year 2 Acting students presented a deconstruction of one of Shakespeare's telling of the Trojan War.

AUDITION TECHNIQUE
WORKSHOP
A series of intensive workshops designed for applicants preparing for drama school auditions. Over the course of a week-long programme, participants worked in depth on two contrasting monologues of their choice — one classical and one contemporary. Workshop leaders provided detailed guidance on text analysis, character development, and audition technique, equipping students with the practical tools and confidence required to deliver assured and professional auditions.
These sessions were produced by Foppish Theatre.
